Accessibility statement

Last updated · 11 May 2026

Our commitment

ELION is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as part of the product, not an afterthought, and we test and remediate our site against the standards named below.

Conformance status

This site conforms partially with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the substantive standard cited by European standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1 and the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).

"Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. The known issues are listed in the next section.

Inaccessible content

The following content is known not to fully conform yet. Each item is being actively addressed; this page is updated when the work lands.

Live screen-reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS) has not yet been performed on a real device. Target: 2026 Q3.Per-field validation on the checkout form is not yet implemented; the page-level error banner is announced via role="alert", but specific failed fields aren't named in the error. Target: 2026 Q3.Image alt text in the product gallery interpolates the words "view 1/2/3" in English only when the rest of the page is in another locale. Target: 2026 Q3.Footer social icons currently link to placeholder URLs while real channels are being set up; they appear in the tab order. Target: when real handles exist. The cart drawer's backdrop is implemented as a clickable <button> with an aria-label and shows up twice for screen-reader users (once for the backdrop, once for the explicit close button). Target: 2026 Q3.The admin back office at /admin is not in scope for this audit and has not been remediated. It is not a consumer-facing surface and falls outside the European Accessibility Act.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 11 May 2026 by self-evaluation. The methodology combined automated checks using @axe-core/playwright 4.11 with manual code-level inspection of every storefront component for keyboard, focus, contrast, and ARIA correctness. Live screen-reader testing is planned and is named above as a deferred item.

We review this statement at least annually, and within 30 days of any material change to the site.
